NFS URL Scheme Status of this Memo This memo provides information for the Internet community. It does not specify an Internet standard of any kind. Distribution of this memo is unlimited. Abstract A new URL scheme, 'nfs' is defined. It is used to refer to files and directories on NFS servers using the general URL syntax defined in RFC 1738, "Uniform Resource Locators (URL)". This scheme uses the public filehandle and multi-component lookup [RFC2054, RFC2055] to access server data with a minimum of protocol overhead. The NFS protocol provides access to shared filesystems across networks. It is designed to be machine, operating system, network architecture, and transport protocol independent. The protocol currently exists in two versions: version 2 [RFC1094] and version 3 [RFC1813], both built on ONC RPC [RFC1831] at its associated eXternal Data Representation (XDR) [RFC1832] and Binding Protocol [RFC1833].

Nod factors and chitooligomers elicit an increase in cytosolic calcium in aequorin-expressing soybean cells.

Rhizobial Nod factors (NFs) function as nodulation signals that trigger symbiotic responses of leguminous host plants. NFs consist of a chitin oligomer backbone carrying a fatty acid at the non-reducing end. Depending on the rhizobial strain, NFs carry additional substituents, which may determine host specificity. Transgenic suspension-cultured soybean (Glycine max [L.] Merr.) cells expressing ...

NPRD: Nucleosome Positioning Region Database

Nucleosome Positioning Region Database (NPRD), which is compiling the available experimental data on locations and characteristics of nucleosome formation sites (NFSs), is the first curated NFS-oriented database. The object of the database is a single NFS described in an individual entry. When annotating results of NFS experimental mapping, we pay special attention to several important function...

Q-Value Based Particle Swarm Optimization for Reinforcement Neuro- Fuzzy System Design

This paper proposes a combination of particle swarm optimization (PSO) and Q-value based safe reinforcement learning scheme for neuro-fuzzy systems (NFS). The proposed Q-value based particle swarm optimization (QPSO) fulfills PSO-based NFS with reinforcement learning; that is, it provides PSO-based NFS an alternative to learn optimal control policies under environments where only weak reinforce...

A Highly Available Lock Manager for HA-NFS

. Iltt. papg_r Pres€4s the design and implementation of a highly available lock manager for highly available NFS (HA-NFS). HA-NFS provides highly available network file servlce to NFS clients and can be used by any NFS client without modification. This is provided by having two servers share dual-ported disks so that one server can take over the oìher's disks and file systems if it fails. Makin...

NFS-cc: tuning NFS for concurrent read sharing

A common file access pattern found in cluster applications is concurrent read sharing: applications running on multiple sites read access the same dataset concurrently. Traditional network file systems are limited by the server’s network bandwidth; therefore cannot satisfy the high-bandwidth concurrent reads that cluster applications typically require. This paper presents NFS-cc: a cooperative ...
